Low Cost Home Alarm (KIT08S)

This is a low-cost home alarm that includes many features normally only found in more expensive systems.

The alarm can be triggered from a wide range of sensors, such as reed switches, pressure mats, window foil and infra red detectors. The system provides for two loops, one which uses normally open sensors and a second which uses normally closed sensors.

The operating principle is that when the arm key is turned on, you have 60 seconds to secure the building - during this time a buzzer is sounded. After this delay the alarm is active and ready to be triggered by any of the sensors in the security loops. A red LED on the pcb acts as a reminder that the system is active.

In addition there are two permanently active loops that activate immediately, when disturbed. These are used to facilitate a tamper proof loop and panic button loop.

The circuit is designed to operate from a 12V power supply, 12V Lead Acid battery, or combination of both (sold separately).
