Force Field Kit (KIT46S)

The Force Field Kit surrounds any metal object up to about 10kg with a harmless, invisible "force field" - e.g. a sensor plate, a set of burglar bars, a handgun, a computer system, a bicycle, or a doorknob. This force field may extend up to about 30cm around the object which is thus "energised", so that if any part of the human body enters the field, an alarm is triggered.

The Force Field Kit need not have an electrical connection to an item to surround it with the force field - it is sufficient for the item merely to be located within the field. So, for instance, jewellery may be placed on top of a book, and the book on top of a sensor plate, and the jewellery will be energised, on condition that it - or a part of it - lies within the force field.

In reality, the Force Field Kit relies on the fact that every living human body generates a weak electric field. When this field comes into close proximity with the positive plate of a small value capacitor, the value of the capacitor effectively increases.

The unit is capable of operating over a wide ranging DC supply of between 6V and 24V DC.

NOT included in the kit, but available separately, is:
Regulated Power Supply, 12V dc, STK51S.
