Pre-assembled version of our Electric fence kit.
An extremely popular kit that produces high voltage pulses of around 20kV. Due to the low current capacity, the unit is not life threatening, despite the high output voltage.
Power supply should be 12VDC for optimum output. A rechargeable lead acid battery is recommended.
A piezo transducer may be added for audible indication of operation.
The project requires a motor car ignition coil to complete.
Ideally suited for use in a security perimeter application to prevent unauthorised movement of personnel, or to restrict movement of animals.
Items NOT included in the kit, but available separately, are:
Car ignition coil (available from local car spares outlet).
Fence wiring and insulators.
Regulated 12V Power Supply and/or 12V Lead Acid Battery.
